A Proud Excel Hoops Parent!

When I first heard about Edson Jones and saw his training style, I immediately knew my son needed to be trained by him.  Then I heard how coach Eddie was beginning a prep program called Excel Hoops, and how he was encompassing his program with a dynamic team of professionals.  Long story short, I am very happy that we made the decision to entrust the Excel Hoops program to groom our son.  My son’s basketball development and acumen has leaped dramatically ever since.  However, not only did my son’s basketball skills grow in leaps and bounds, but I watched how every other student’s basketball skills, in the program, developed unbelievably as well.

Yet, the entire program goes beyond basketball, and I’ve recognized that that is what the Excel Hoops program is all about!  Academically, and sports-wise, every member of staff that I’ve met so far, made themselves available to help the players excel in all needed aspects towards their next journey into varsity sports.  If my son was not heading down south, Excel Hoops would be the only place I would want him to continue with.  What I love even more, is that the program is growing.  The word is now out, about Excel Hoops, and I’m so glad we were part of the experience!

Go Excel!

Mother of Gabrielle Robinson Forde (Division 1 athlete)

Hi Excel Hoops Family,

I needed to reach out to the Excel staff to let you know how grateful we are to have been part of the 2020-21 Prep team. Today Gabby and the family watched her virtual graduation and she was completely surprised to have been honored with the Excel Hoops excellence awards. She is thankful for being chosen and wished it was an in person event , where she could personally thank you all.

Even though the time Gabby had in the program was short it was still the best choice for her athletic future.

Coach Jeff and Coach Melissa you have been like Gabby’s  Excel Hoops parents and I have no idea where she would be without all your guidance. As you know Gabby is pretty self driven but shy. I hope she continues to learn to be constantly more aggressive on the court at NDSU.  She hopes that this is not the end for her and Excel Hoops . She is hoping to get some gym time in her off season when she’s back home.

God has always led Gabby to the decisions she had made and Excel Hoops was a great one. So we Thank God for directing her to you. Thank you all for believing in her and being so supportive. Look out for her in Sept. We are expecting great things from her at NDSU .

Have a great summer!!!

And thank you.

Proud Parents of Kayla Creighton

When we made the decision for our daughter to attend Excel Hoops Prep Basketball Program, we knew right away she would be in good hands. The directors are in constant communication with families and having a director that is also a teacher in the school makes sure that the program stays on top of the academic side of things. You expect high level training and that's exactly what you get - regular training sessions from a pro-level trainer as well as injury prevention training and strength and conditioning. We've never regretted our decision to be a part of the Excel Hoops Prep program and recommend it to all upcoming student athletes who are serious about the sport!

Bree Robinson & The Robinson Family

As a family, we are very thankful and grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Excel Hoops family. Bree was one of the first players to join Excel Hoops in their inaugural season and work with this incredible coaching and training staff. From our first parents night meeting to our last training sessions, the staff’s focus and attention to detail have been incredible. The resume and profiles of the trainers and the coaching staff are a reflection of the quality of the program.

We made our decision to join the Excel Hoops because of the integration between school and high-performance training. The ability to align our daughters' aspirations of high level basketball combined with a school that was committed to the sport was an easy decision.

Over the past two seasons, Bree has grown a player in her confidence, ball handling, shooting and her overall basketball IQ due to the amount of focused basketball attention. We would recommend Excel Hoops to any family that is interested in continuing to elevate their athletes basketball ability in hopes of playing at the next level.
